The Automated Streams Analysis for Public Safety (ASAPS) Prize Challenge Virtual Workshop is coming up! Join us on Nov. 12 and 13 for a series of talks and breakouts centered on the ASAPS Challenge including an in-depth presentation of our first-ever multi-stream public safety dataset. Learn about our next contest, discuss field challenges related to real-time event detection and clustering, and talk to our team of experts!
The agenda features three core talks. The first from Kevin O’Shea details our incredible dataset, the second from Andrew White presents our contest system, and the third from Bridget Kennedy outlines the tasks and metrics for our next contest.
Day 1 includes an incredible opportunity for future contestants to talk with public safety leaders about how they might use the technology ASAPS will inspire. Featuring Bill Schrier, Senior Advisor, First Responder Network Authority, Mark Keough, Operations Deputy Chief Mesa Fire and Medical Department (Retired), and Julie Stroup, Program Manager, City of Houston’s Public Safety Video Initiative, this panel and Q&A will stimulate great discussion around how ASAPS can make a difference in the daily lives of public safety personnel and the communities they serve.
