Recap: ASAPS Challenge Virtual Workshop

The Automated Streams Analysis for Public Safety (ASAPS) Challenge Virtual Workshop on Nov. 12 and 13 provided an in-depth presentation of the overall ASAPS Challenge and the first-ever multi-stream public safety dataset. Participants received an overview of the ASAPS Challenge timeline and information about the upcoming launch of Contest 2.

Workshop participants included researchers, contestants, industry leaders, and public safety officials. Participants learned details about the next contest, explored the extensive development dataset for the challenge, and discussed field challenges related to real-time event detection and clustering. They also participated and engaged in a live public safety panel discussion.

The workshop highlighted ASAPS’ mission of building future technology to help first responders save lives, property, and critical infrastructure by being more fully data-informed in responding to emergencies. We invite you to check out or revisit the content presented during the workshop and reach out to our implementation team via the Contact page if you have any questions.

Additionally, if you attended the workshop, we would appreciate your participation in this short survey.
